Aunima is much more than a service: it's a dream I've nurtured for over ten years. Behind this project is me, Marie-Josée Picard, a social work graduate, passionate about the world of pets and deeply driven by a desire: to help animals and the humans who share their lives together.

A passion nurtured by a life surrounded by animals

Univers Animal created Aunima to offer a unique support space entirely dedicated to the human-animal bond. A place where every pet owner can find support, practical advice, and reliable resources, from the first day of adoption to the final goodbye, including illness, aging, and bereavement. My goal: to help you experience a balanced, respectful, and peaceful relationship with your pet at every stage of its life.

Since childhood, cats and dogs have been a part of my daily life. My first companion, Pomponnette, lived by my side for 21 years. Thanks to her, I learned patience, listening, and respect for others. Over time, I have taken in many stray or abandoned animals; each one has shaped my worldview and reinforced my mission: to place animals at the heart of human relationships.

Through Aunima, created by Univers Animal, I hope to change the way we look at our animals. They are not simply an "extra" in our lives, but sentient beings with their own emotions, needs, and language.

In a world that is often stressful, the bond between humans and animals becomes a precious resource. This bond is built through gestures, silences, and everyday routines. It is this subtle language that I help to understand, protect, and enrich.
